eLoop | Welcome

Our Company

For the last 25 years the products of technological advancement and innovation have entertained the world, improved data processing, and placed people in touch minute to minute for 24 hours a day 7 days per week. These products have clearly improved the quality of life for those in developed countries, but they were designed and built with materials that have an adverse impact on the environment. While future devices may contain less toxic materials through a more sustainable design, the current devices contain toxins that require more effort to dispose of properly. Constant and rapid innovation causes premature obsolescence for these products that are retired from service. Some products can be refurbished and resold, but most of this material is destined to be discarded creating the fastest growing waste stream in the world. eLoop is committed to managing the ewaste stream.

All memory containing devices such as hard drives, tape backup media and smart phones pose additional risk when computers, servers, and cell phones are retired from service. eLoop brings a secure and sustainable solution to organizations looking to trust one company that can control, protect, and destroy the critical data that resides in memory on these devices and handle the proper reuse or recycling of memory containing devices.

The mission of eLoop is clear. We function as your outside partner with your inside interests in mind. Your organization sets the expectations and eLoop professionals execute and meet those expectations. We start by developing a comprehensive plan that evaluates your organizations risk; we certify and control the destruction of your most sensitive data; and then we provide a complete chain of custody for your equipment from the time it leaves your location until it reaches its final destination. By working closely with your staff, eLoop will develop a plan of action that is specific to your organizational goals and assure that the electronics entrusted to eLoop are handled to your exact specifications.

As a pledged e-Steward with the Basel Action Network (www.ban.org) and operating a DEP permitted demanufacturing facility eLoop has positioned itself as an industry leader. We have the complete flexibility to refurbish equipment for resale or corporate donations as well as dismantle the equipment and disseminate component parts back into the used parts industry. In most cases we handle end of life equipment by disassembling, recycling the hazardous materials with qualified downstream partners, and recovering commodity grade materials such as metals, plastics, and glass for use in another form in another industry. This completes the sustainable “LOOP” of activity that is central to our mission.
